The Latest Yamaha XMAX is Officially Launched, More Sophisticated and Scary!

The Yamaha XMAX model year 2023 officially launched on the European market on Thursday (27/10/22) evening WIB.

This scooter, which has been present in the global market since 15 years ago, is now increasingly frightening in appearance and sophisticated in technology.

“For 2023, the new XMAX 300 Tech MAX comes with a more dynamic look and feel to further underline its status as the best automatic sport motorbike that is the pride of its owner,” wrote Yamaha in an official release received by detikoto.

In appearance, it is clear that the form of the latest XMAX 300 is increasingly frightening. This is reflected in the use of the ‘fairing’ or the front body of the new model which is more aerodynamic and aggressive.

The presence of the X model headlights is also a new characteristic of the XMAX model year 2023. In addition, the use of turn signals that are moved upwards and clamp the windshield also refreshes its appearance.

Then, to support the practicality of the rider and passenger, the XMAX model 2023 has revised the seat shape.

Not only in terms of appearance, Yamaha also provides several new features for the XMAX model year 2023.

Now the Yamaha XMAX model year 2023 is equipped with a 4.2-inch, color TFT instrument cluster display.

This screen is equipped with a Communication Control Unit (CCU) like Y-Connect in the Yamaha Indonesia line. But for the European market, the application used is called MyRide. This feature allows owners and riders of the latest XMAX to control and view their motorcycle information via a bluetooth connection via a smartphone.

It doesn’t stop there, the 4.2-inch screen has also been embedded with the Garmin navigation system. So that the rider can see the directions directly and control its appearance via the buttons on the handlebars.

Yamaha seems to want to make the XMAX 300’s image truly ‘high-tech’. Because one screen is not enough, Yamaha also provides an additional 3.2-inch LCD screen that is placed just above the 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster screen.

This additional screen is useful for displaying travel-related information such as speedometer, infotainment, and others.

The advanced features embedded in the cockpit are only present in the XMAX 300, the Tech MAX type. While the regular XMAX 300 still carries a 4.2-inch cluster instrument panel screen, but its use is only to display motor information as usual. There is no Garmin navigation feature and also no additional 3.2-inch screen.

Yamaha will start selling the XMAX 300 in March 2023. Meanwhile, the more ‘special’ XMAX 300 Tech Max is scheduled to be available for purchase in May 2023 in the European market.

Keep in mind that the Yamaha XMAX 300 is the basis of the same motorbike as the XMAX 250 which is popular in the Indonesian market.
