Temporary Line Up for MotoGP Riders 2023: Aprilia-Yamaha Patent, Ducati-Honda Not Complete

Dorna Sports has released the provisional line-up of the 2023 MotoGP team and riders. From the infographics displayed on the MotoGP Instagram account, Aprilia Racing and Monster Energy Yamaha already have a patented rider formation, while Ducati Lenovo and Repsol Honda still have one slot left.

Aprilia Racing, which has performed brilliantly this season, will still rely on the duo of Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro. Both have signed new contracts that will keep them with the Italian team until the next 2024 season.

Apart from Aprilia, Yamaha will also continue to use the same line-up of riders next season. Franco Morbidelli, who has had poor performances this season, is still trusted to finish his contract with Yamaha in the 2023 season. Meanwhile, Fabio Quartararo, who is expected to move teams, has finally signed a contract extension that will keep him at Yamaha until 2024.

Another team that has completed its rider composition for the 2023 season is Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. This Austrian team will still trust Brad Binder. In addition, KTM has also officially recruited Jack Miller from Ducati Lenovo.

From the satellite team, Gresini Racing still trusts Fabio Di Giannantonio who will be accompanied by Alex Marquez, a rider who is currently still defending LCR Honda.

Meanwhile, the team that has only one rider for next season is Ducati Lenovo (Francesco Bagnaia) and the Repsol Honda team. Reportedly Ducati Lenovo will recruit Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing) or Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing), while Repsol Honda is linked with Joan Mir (Suzuki Ecstar).

As for some teams that have not set a line-up of riders at all for next season are Mooney VR46, WithU RNF, KTM Tech3, then Pramac Racing, and LCR Honda. Meanwhile, Suzuki, which has been confirmed to leave MotoGP at the end of this season, is no longer listed in the temporary line-up for the 2023 MotoGP teams.
