Some time ago, the Gunungkidul Regency Government launched branding with Campaign #IniGunungkidul -The Ultimate Hidden Gem. The branding activities aim to promote Gunungkidul tourism to attract tourist arrivals. It is hoped that more tourists will come to visit and feel the experience of traveling to enjoy the natural and cultural beauty of Gunungkidul.
The tourist destinations that want to be introduced to the The Ultimate Hidden Gem campaign include Kesirat Beach, Wediombo Beach, Ngobaran Beach, Jungwok Beach, Pengilon Hill, and Ngrawe Beach or often known as Mesra Beach.

The selection of tourist destinations in The Ultimate Hidden Gem campaign is seen in terms of beauty and tourism potential. It can be said that this destination is favored and introduced to tourists when visiting Gunungkidul.
To be able to meet tourism industry standards, the Gunungkidul Regency Government applies the CHSE Ministry of Tourism Industry standards for each destination.
“The Gunungkidul Regency Government continues to strive to create healthy tourism conditions after the pandemic, one of which is ensuring safety for tourists. In this case, the Gunungkidul Regency Government supports the CHSE certification program by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in every tourist attraction. Since 2021 until now Gunungkidul Regency has had 61 certified points CHSE with details of 37 tourist attractions, 13 restaurants, 6 hotels, 3 homestays, 1 souvenir shop, and 1 restaurant.
