Yamaha is developing an electric scooter called Yamaha E01. This electric motor concept will be tested in Europe and 5 Asian countries. Then, what are the specifications of this Yamaha E01 electric scooter? Seeing the gambot dimensions, are the specifications equivalent to the Yamaha Nmax 155?
In his presentation, Yamaha Motor said that the E01 electric scooter is classified and registered as a compact class vehicle which is equivalent to a 125 cc motorbike. The E01 electric scooter is claimed to be able to reach a maximum speed of 100 km/h and an average maximum mileage of 100 km.
Dimensionally, the E01 electric scooter is similar in length to the Nmax, where the E01 is 1,930 mm long while the Nmax is 1,935 mm. no doubt, riding position (driving position) these two scooters are also very similar.
The E01 electric scooter also has a fairly low seat height at 755 mm. The rider’s feet can still reach the road surface easily, aka not tiptoe. Oh yes, under the seat of this E01 there is also a 23 liter luggage capacity that can be used to put a helmet.
Yamaha E01 is equipped with a lithium-ion battery capacity of 4.9 kWh or equivalent to a maximum power of 8.1 kW at 5,000 rpm and 30.2 Nm of torque at 1,950 rpm. The maximum mileage of this electric motor is claimed to be able to penetrate 130 km with the WTMC class 1 calculation method in Europe.
Interestingly, the Yamaha E01 is also equipped with three driving modes, namely Power, Standard, and Eco. For the Power mode, the power is 8.1 kW at 5,000 rpm and the torque is 30.2 Nm at 1,950 rpm, with a maximum speed of 100 km/hour.

In Standard mode, power is 8.1 kW at 5,000 rpm and torque is 24.5 Nm at 1,500 rpm, with a maximum speed of 100 km/h. Then in Eco mode, the power output is 5.4 kW at 4,500 rpm and the torque is 21.4 Nm at 1,500 rpm, with a top speed of 60 km/hour.
Regarding battery charging, there are also three levels. With a fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0-90% in just 1 hour. This fast charger installation can be found at authorized dealers or companies that provide electric vehicle battery charging stations.
Then with a normal charger application (200-240V power supply) it can charge from 0-100% within 5 hours. Normal use of this charger can usually be found in residential homes.
Meanwhile, if you use a portable charger with an output of 100-240V, the process of recharging the battery can take even longer, reaching 14 hours for 0-100%. Because it is portable, this charger system can be used anywhere, whether at home, office, or at school.
