Fabio Quartararo does not want to be lulled by the 2021 MotoGP world title. Because Ducati will jeopardize its mission to defend the title next year.
Quartararo won his first world title this season and paid for his failure last season. Solid performance in the first half of the season coupled with consistency in the next half of the season is key.
Quartararo also ended Yamaha’s title drought since last being world champion with Jorge Lorenzo in 2015. However, that doesn’t mean Yamaha’s work is over.
Because the threat will always come from rivals, especially Ducati which proves capable of being troublesome in the second half of the season. As a result, two world titles, namely constructors and team, were won by the Italian team.
Even Francesco Bagnaia has troubled Quartararo several times and was able to win four times in the last six races. Meanwhile, Quartararo could not move during that period.
Quartararo has only won once in the second half of the season, namely in the British MotoGP. With this condition, Quartararo also warned the Tala Fork team not to be complacent with last season’s results and immediately prepare for the 2022 MotoGP.
Moreover, in the results of the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test last week, Ducati had shown their titans while Yamaha was still struggling, especially in terms of speed.
“Ducati proved to be competitive and we also have to improve our performance. They have a bike with an amazing engine, but our M1 has a good body and also other aspects that support our performance in 2021. We hope they know what to do and where to go. which must be corrected for the next test, after the poor results in the Jerez test yesterday. I’m still sure, “said Fabio Quartararo in GPOne.
“We have always been better with Yamaha in recent years and our relationship is extraordinary. I have to work hard to be ready for next season, to prove myself,” continued the French rider.
